You were the centre of my whole world
How did I not see it until it unfurled,
As everything seemed to be turning to gold
The very next day you were soo cold
You can change a dressing
But it’ll soon need doing again
The fact I’m still standing is a blessing,
If only to disguise some of the pain,
You read me like an open book
Everything you wanted you took,
You exposed my heart on my sleeve
Then crushed it for all to see,
The old wounds they still hurt
Old scars hidden by a clean shirt
My feelings I have tried to deny
But it is all just a lie
Awh, I hope this poem is your pain based on reality. 😢
