Second hand lover

Second hand lover, with the face of another, wearing a warning grin,
Second hand lover, with the face of another, living in sin,
All she wanted was a cheap thrill,
And how I longed to fit that bill,
But she’s a second hand lover and I love her still,

That face I see, I’d seen before
Back In a classroom, or the house next door,
That was another time,
Back when I was in my prime

She grew well from the girl I knew
Of men she has known a fair few
Of me she was entirely unaware
Couldn’t really force herself to care

She face of another, wearing a warning grin,
Second hand lover, with the face of another, living in sin,
All she wanted was a cheap thrill,
And how I longed to fit that bill,
But she’s a second hand lover and I love her still,

I know that this may not be fair,
Taking solace in this bed that we share,
I often do wish that you came first,
But she stole my mind like a curse.
