One Last Look

She won’t hear the words I am saying
Believing my actions won’t hold true
Although I dearly love her
And that won’t change with a beer or two.

I will drink away the memory
Till I can no longer see
See her lookin’ back at me
As she walks off down the street

It was just one last look
The end of a chapter and book
You then just turned and walked away
Leaving me beaten, bruised and shook
