A woman’s touch

There is nothing like a womans touch to ease a troubled man
To make a firm bed of rock from the shimmering sand
As little as your hand resting gently on my arm
can bring me a moment of calm
there’s nothing like a woman’s touch to ease a troubled man

A long hard day that didn’t pay enough
left me knowing tomorrow I will be feeling rough,
Not as rough as the end of the stick
I sat and had a stiff drink
but all I could bring myself to think
Someone up there has been taking the mick.

There is nothing like a womans touch to ease a troubled man
To make a firm bed of rock from the shimmering sand
As little as your hand resting gently on my arm
can bring a moment of calm
there’s nothing like a woman’s touch to ease a troubled man

This woman came over to take my order
I just asked something tall and colder
I couldn’t think of much else to say
she came and sat down beside me
decided to try and help me see
A path that may lead to a brighter day,

There is nothing like a womans touch to ease a troubled man
To make a firm bed of rock from the shimmering sand
As little as your hand resting gently on my arm
can bring a moment of calm
There’s nothing like a womans touch to ease a troubled man

there’s nothing like a woman’s touch to ease a troubled man
I don’t know if I believed her or if I just needed to to stand.
